Studio and Residency Space

A Gallery Without Art work,   Artwork Without A Gallery.

Studio and residency is run by CoCA organization where Art related activities are the vehicle to develop regular income for the artists involved as well as the mean to sustain social and cultural based programs. The Building is a signature work of architecture design by the CoCA Artists Poornima Jayasinghe and Chinthaka Thenuwara. The structure brings together main venues and small studio spaces under one roof. These spaces can be use independently and simultaneously allowing to present Art residency programs, events, exhibitions, artists gatherings, workshops and dedicate space to research and experiment work.

Artists from France, England, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Spain, USA,  Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan  and India have resided at the CoCA. From event such as Colombo Art Biennale, French spring festival and Germany/ France Sri Lanka exchange residency to name a few.

CoCA Residency is a space where many active local and visiting foreign artists frequently meet.

The building structure and its interior are mainly constructed by using recycle materials to reduce the amount of waste that is generated and also to slow the consumption of resources.

We at CoCA, build communities around Art Work instead of audiences.

As a non-profit Artist led Art organisation, CoCA very much appreciate your  support to sustain our Art projects. CoCA, kindly invites you to make a donation when using our Facilities.
