Interactive art

CoCA, Collective of Contemporary Artists is the first pioneering art organization

which introduce the extremely fun interactive Art to Sri Lankan Audience.

First time in Sri Lankan Art history the artists due created a platform for diverse viewers in all

ages and background to freely interact with the work of art.

In year 2011 Poornima Jayasinghe and Chinthaka Thenuwara created 14 interactive art works which exhibited at Colombo Art Biennale ‘Becoming’.

Interactive  Art by Poornima & Chinthaka  broke the boundary between the work of Art and the audience, creator and the viewer and shifts its focus of the viewer to the creator of the work.

Artists Poornima & Chinthaka explore possibilities of artistic expressions, using alternative spaces both inside and outside of galleries.

Artists Poornima & Chinthaka explore possibilities of artistic expressions, using alternative spaces both inside and outside of galleries. Their interactive public participatory art works are highly commendable by both local and international art critics, curators and many others which reflect of broad personal, social, political, and cultural issues of the contemporary society within a deep psychological context.

 

Later, Poornima and Chinthaka developed this fun interactive art forms into more sustainable art forms and practices connected with mind, society and environment
